I got to Dress-up Models for Cosplay at SDCC! Part 1: Lil' Red

You heard me right! Yours truly, as part of her job at DST, got to create custom costumes for our Booth Babes at San Diego Comic-Con!! Check it out:

So to promote our newest line of Femme Fatales statues, we hired two models to hand out trading cards, lollipops and temporary tattoos. And I got to dress them!

Today's Booth Babe was based on our statue of Lil' Red!!
(You may remember that fantastic poster I designed from my post here ... minus the hidden message :) )

I'm really proud of how this turned out! And from what I hear, the model rocked it! (really nice and funny to boot!).

A lil' about what I did:
Everything on her was pretty much bought almost exactly how we needed it, except for the bag... Egads did I procrastinate on this one... The bag was made from scratch using gray pleather and a latex wolf mask I painted red eyes on!
Here's a better pic of the pieces assembled:
She was a great hit at the show!! (alas, I was not there to see this in person...we were flying home that day).
But I couldn't be happier!

What do you think? Did I get it pretty close?

Tomorrow's Booth Babe: Pirate Girl Anne Bonny!!

(Thanks to Chris Schaff for taking these awesome pics of the model!)
