Sources Say: Final Giveaway #4!!!

Here it is people...
The final Giveaway from our whirlwind "1,000, are you f'ing kidding me, POSTS!!"

Prize #4 is.... THE ANSWER ME GNOME!
You know you want it. Shake him up like a "magic 8 ball" for such joy as "Keep of the Grass!" Let it make your decisions! This classy thing is pretty big too like 8" or so? Plus it's sold out at Perpetual Kid!

So rules to get this masterpiece!:
1. Comment here! For the love of god.. No "I'm a subscriber" and No "enter me please"... I read all the comments and although I love the effort, I get bored easy. How about something like a good billboard you read? Or why I shouldn't eat cheese (it makes you gassy!) or even what the gnome will help you decide! I like random.
2. All Entries need to be in by Monday the 22nd by 10:00am est
3. I'll randomly pick a winner that day (using Random.org) and email them!
4. If you don't respond in three days a number two is drawn! (heh heh... #2).

That is all! Happy Gnoming everyone!

  4. The Magic 8 Ball is one of the most important things in my office. Unfortunately, when I changed offices I bequethed my Magic 8 Ball to my supervisor (she would have been lost w/out it) and now I am in search of an alternate divinatory means to keep my new office running smoothly.

Last job, people hid gnomes on desks (as they were shy) and I was floored to see a gnome like this.

What a combination! Gnome meets Magic 8 ball!

    Thanks for the contest!

  33. I love Gnomes so much that I once contemplated the whole stealing gnomes thing. I am bad at things like that though. My luck, I would stand in someone's yard and debate about it, then their dog would come up and bite me in the bootie, then I would pee myself and that would be how I was found. I like collecting things. I collect Buddhas too. I wonder if it is OCD or just the old lady in me coming out early.

  47. Want a way to relax this season without stressing about cost (you said random!) find an accredited massage therapy school in your area - with a good reputation and visit the student clinic. It costs between 20-30 dollars and these students will have just finished learning the body from the cellular level on up. Great idea for a gift too. If you like the student see them again - if not - choose someone else. Like any massage, feel free to give feedback during the massage - lighter heavier etc.

Or want to try a new color on your hair - try an ayerveydic school and get it colored naturally.

  48. Is the gnome rubber? That color strikes me as a dog toy or chewing gum. Is it paintable? I'd also like to see how the gnome interacts with my magic 8 ball. I suspect sooner or later they'd both suggest getting rid of the other.

  58. As if my blog name doesn't tell you I am psychotic (teehee) when I was in college, I used to carry around a Magic 8 ball in my backpack. And a mini slinky too, but I digress. Can you imagine me with this gnome? He'd live in my purse and go everywhere! Oh the questions he could answer...

I still have that 8 ball, but it doesn't work right anymore. A drunk guy shook it apparently past the point of no return, and now it has gas (LOL) there are all these extra bubbles in it, and you can't really read the answers. Why do I keep it? Beats me!

  67. The Magic 8-Ball, manufactured by Mattel, is a toy used for fortune-telling or seeking advice. Invented in 1946 by Abe Bookman of the Alabe Toy Company, it is a hollow, plastic sphere resembling an oversized, black and white 8-ball. Inside is a white, plastic, icosahedral die floating in a dark blue liquid. Each of the 20 faces of the die has an affirmative, negative, or non-committal statement printed on it in raised letters. There is a transparent window on the bottom of the 8-ball through which these messages can be read.

To use the ball, it must be held with the window initially facing down. After "asking the ball" a yes-or-no question, the user then turns the ball so that the window faces up, setting in motion the liquid and die inside. When the die floats to the top and one of its faces is pressed against the window, the raised letters displace the blue liquid to reveal the message as white letters on a blue background. Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary (or recommended) to shake or jostle the ball before turning it, as doing so can create air bubbles that may visually distort the answer.
