When Art & Science Collide

Blue in the Face
Artist: Damon Soule
Damon Soule’s work incorporates fractal patterns and cut paper on wood, a blend of science derived backgrounds, robotic characters and an amazing palette of colours. Spent All Light is made up of two versions of one piece of work, Day to Night and Night to Day, and the aspect that draws us in the most would be the road of ribbons and the accompanying patchwork. Indeed, patchworks are to be had throughout Soule’s oeuvre, a fact made more interesting knowing that his mother is a mosaic artist.
