Just flipping through some Vimeo stuff I came across one of my all-time favorite short films. This is an unbelievably well-made documentary about a gritty NYC bar seen through thousands of black and white photographs that a bartender took of the patrons. It's a testament to how dynamic something can be when edited and composited really well. Considering that it consists mostly of still images it's amazing:

I like Guinness. That and Smithwick's are my most favorite dark beer to curl up with in the winter. Something about the stew-like consistency warms my heart when it gets chilly outside!

But now that's it's summer (hello 80º!) what's a girl to do?

Ingredients?

• 16 oz. Guinness Stout beer, divided use
• 5 envelopes of Knox gelatin, divided use
• 3oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
• 3oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey

Yes, car-bombs solidify by themselves - but look past all that!

According to Cool Hunting, Iori Tomita has developed a way to make flesh translucent by dissolving the creatures' natural proteins. Why? Initially "for the scientific purpose of examining minuscule bone structure as an undergraduate student majoring in fisheries."
