Last night I was lucky enough to listen to Alex Grey speak at the AVAM! A brilliant man, Grey is a real believer of visionary art as a way to spiritual gaps. His meditative (and sometimes psychedelic induced) paintings are riddled with layered religious symbolitry (You may recognize him from the Tool album Lateralus.). If I were only allowed to look at one piece of art, for the rest of my life, it would be his!Right now, see more of his 13 ft artwork at the AVAM for the "All Faiths Beautiful" exhibit in Baltimore!
